This page describes how to request deletion of your Seven Weekly Goals account and the data associated with it. You can either delete your account directly from the app, or email us to request deletion.
Option 1 — Delete from the app (recommended)
- Open the Seven Weekly Goals app on your device.
- Sign in with the account you want to delete.
- Go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the action in the dialog.
Your account and all cloud data are permanently removed immediately. Data stored locally on your device is kept on that device — you can uninstall the app or clear app data to remove it as well.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app, send an email to hello@7weeklygoals.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Account deletion request".
We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days, in accordance with GDPR.
What data is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:
- Your authentication record (email, session tokens)
- Your end-to-end encryption keys
- Your mission statement
- Your roles and their categories
- Your weekly goals (verticals) and weekly history
- Archived weeks
- Your user settings (preferences, premium status, sync metadata)
Because the app uses end-to-end encryption, the content of your roles, goals and mission statement was never readable by us while stored — and all encrypted records are deleted along with your keys.
What data may be retained
- Anonymous analytics (Google Analytics, GA4): aggregated usage data that does not identify you personally, retained for up to 26 months (GA default). Only collected if you accepted the cookie banner.
- Email correspondence: if you contacted us, we retain the email thread for up to 3 years unless you request earlier deletion.
- Local data on your device: data cached in the app (AsyncStorage) remains on your phone until you uninstall the app or clear its storage. We cannot delete this remotely.
- Legal obligations: in rare cases, limited data may be retained longer if required by applicable law (e.g. accounting, fraud prevention).
Deleting part of your data without closing your account
Seven Weekly Goals lets you delete any individual item from your account without having to close it. All deletions below take effect immediately on your device and are synced to our servers on the next sync (within seconds when online).
Procedure
- Open the Seven Weekly Goals app and sign in.

Navigate to the item you want to remove, then use the delete / clear action on that
screen:
- A role — on the Week or Drafts tab, swipe the role left and tap the trash icon. Removes the role and its associated weekly goal.
- A life role (category) — open Life Roles, select the category, tap the trash icon.
- Your mission statement — open Mission Statement, clear or rewrite the text and save; the previous version is replaced.
- Your full archive — open Archive and tap Clear All to remove every archived week at once.
- Sign out on a single device — Settings → Account → Sign Out. This removes the session on that device only; your cloud data is kept.
If you cannot access the app, email hello@7weeklygoals.com from the address linked to your account, listing the items you want removed. We will process your request within 30 days.
Types of data deleted
Only the items you explicitly delete are removed. Your account, authentication record, encryption keys, and all other items are kept.
Retention
Deleted items are removed from our servers immediately on the next sync. Encrypted backups (if any) are rotated and purged within 30 days. Anonymous analytics (Google Analytics) is never linked to specific items and is governed by the retention period described in the Privacy Policy.
